The Cobbs

A family shop. Not a chain.

Harlan got tired of driving toward Somerset for shiners before daylight. Ruth started writing down what the boats said. Eli took over the spooling machine because he was the one who kept breaking tips.

Ruth, Harlan, and Eli. Fictional owners of a demo shop.

The building is a painted block shop on the north side of Monticello, on the way toward Mill Springs. This demo does not use a real family's name or a real street address. If you need bait today, call a real bait shop. This one is made up for a website template.

Ruth keeps the report honest. If the shad tank is low, the board says Low. If the crickets are done for the fall, the board says Out. Harlan still checks the aerators every morning before we open. Eli will spool braid, but he will also tell you if the rod is done for.

We serve people launching out of Monticello, Mill Springs, and Albany. Houseboats, pontoons, and bass boats all stop. The minnows do not care what you are fishing from.
